I’m finally working in a position that encourages me to think creatively, so it behooves me to take fifteen minutes every morning warm up my brain. And since no one reads this blog anyway, I figure this is the perfect resting place for my scribbles.
I keep encountering this man in the hallways, and I don’t know how to feel about him. He works in the office next to mine, and odd noises keep creeping through the walls and distracting me from work. Two weeks ago, I heard him laughing and slapping his face. A day later, he started howling. Last week, I finally met him in the hallway. He was short, petite–smaller than I had imagined.
“Beep beep!” he said as he cut past.
“Excuse me?” I said, startled.
“I’m sorry. I tend to take up whole hallways.” Then he motor boated his lips and vroomed away, clutching an imaginary steering wheel.
I think I’m going to like it here.
I really like the sounds of your co-worker. I bet he will keep things interesting.

I’ve been hearing odd noises coming from the bathroom across the hall. Garbling noises. Scraping noises.
Could be nothing.
